By Richard L. Mitchell, Heather Stanton Breiting and Tammy Kay Hayward

This book is designed for the English speaking student who practices a Korean martial art such as TaeKwon-Do. It is a reference guide for the Korean language as it applies to Korean martial art techniques and offers some basic knowledge of Han-gul (Korean alphabet), and a few simple conversational phrases. It is hoped that this book will help use some simple Korean greetings; read Han-gul on certificates and flags; understand and pronounce many of the Korean used in his/her martial arts class, and increase understanding of technical terms. Many Korean martial terms have lost some of their full meaning in the process of translation. This book has been laid out as a reference guide that can be leafed through and used in the to-jang (often written as do-jang) to find words on an as needed basis. It can also be used as a study guide for the serious student who wishes to obtain an in-depth knowledge of Han-gul and Korean terms as they apply to martial arts techniques.

Softcover. 324 pages.
